Next there will be a show with the TBBT gang as muppets. Sheldon already practiced for that role.

Off the topic of velociraptors

Penney could be the ape from Serial Apeist.

OK, back to velociraptors.

I suspect the actress would rather voice a luminous fish. How many people get to do that?

Well...there was Ellen DeGeneres...

The gang tries to invent a time machine and instead the are all turned into preschool infants. They are kept in the apartment and cared for by Stewart.

The Cal-Tech Babies.

On Star Trek: The Next Generation that episode was called "Little Rascals."

I was actually thinking of The Muppet Babies.

But since you brought it up, have you noticed how often Star Trek creates technology that completely changes the universe? Hey! We can make people young again and they can keep their memories! Yeah, we'll forget it by next episode.

Well, they did have that option, but they all opted to return to their original ages. (What I call "Transporter Magic" really took off in the animated series.)

Because Plot/Because Drama, mostly. But they also couldn't have the main cast be children for the rest of the series.

On a practical level, Picard couldn't be in command of a starship as a teenager, O'Brien didn't want a 12-year-old wife...

I like how when the TNG crew became children not only did they become child size but their uniforms became child size as well. That transporter can do anything. Just like in Voyager when Neelix and Tuvok turned into Tuvix their uniforms combined into one as well. Or when Kirk split into good Kirk and bad Kirk with matching outfits.

But back on topic I really don't want to see a big bang babies spinoff. It was bad enough when Raj dressed like a baby with his lobster bib.

I suspect it's highly possible that I've enjoyed playing with you guys in this thread more than I'll enjoy the spinoff. 😎

Tim, I would like to request that you check the main thread page once a week, or at least every 12-19 days or minutes. Otherwise you could miss some very important things.

Your idea of what's important is a little different than mine.

An idea from someone on “Reddit”: “I think it would work to say everybody moved out of the apartment and a new group is in.”

I like it.

This could work if the new dwellers were somehow attached to the school (up to and including being students). Also, since Leonard/Sheldon/Raj/Howard/Kripke/Amy? work at the school, interaction with/between the groups would be natural.

Plus, it would be easy to include Stuart (and therefore Denise) by having both groups (this new set of enthusiast, and the old gang) visit the comic book store.

  1. Also, who doesn’t want to know what happened to “Captain Sweatpants”.
  2. Let's hope the guys would treat any new students better than they treated Dennis Kim.

I had a last episode idea that never happened. Leonard has been promoted to the head of the Physics department. They are having a meet and greet for the new people. Among them are four bright young scientists that bear a remarkable resemblance to the original group.

I had a whole thing about everybody but it never happened. (stupid Hollwood)

I think this idea is promising. I wonder what they would do with the scenes back at the apartment? Would there be a cute girl across the hall or would they just focus on the guys in the apartment and dig deeper into nerd culture? Or would the people living in the apartment even be nerds and/or would they be males? Regardless, an interesting premise.

I would watch it if you guest starred as Professor of Brownie Hoarding.

Silly Girl, that's from Harry Potter.
