Discuss The Big Bang Theory

I'm surprised we haven't talked about this yet on a movie database, but I compare what's going on in Hollywood right now to a car wreck I don't want to watch but can't look away from.

I mean..... it's pretty much been an open "secret" that Hollywood is rife with pedophilia, transactional sex , both wanted and coerced , sex traded for roles and opportunities, and a lot of it fell on deaf ears for years. Or people outside that sphere it didn't directly affect chose not to care. It's been amazing how many women have come out with accusations against Weinstein , all the stories about him forcing himself on these women. I'm not saying I believe every account(I don't , I think a lot of these stories are missing critical details) but I do believe he used his power to try to get sex from young actresses with a promise of stardom, and in many cases he wouldn't take no for an answer . I also think the women who agreed to sleep with him to get famous are strategically quiet about it. Now he's in sex rehab getting his libido exorcised like that's going to help anybody.

The Kevin Spacey reveal today hit me the hardest not because I didn't think he was gay ( that's about as shocking as Ricky Martin) but because he tried to bury the story of him soliciting an underage boy by coming out. That's really pissing off the LGBTQ crowd, and rightfully so. He really thought we'd be like " O you poor thing, forget the kid that almost got assaulted, how are YOU doin?" He needs to ask the Scientologists for narrative changing lessons.

Anyway, If this is just the tip of the iceberg I don't think we want to see what sordid tales lie underneath the surface. The Oscars are gonna be real awkward this year, folks.

That sounds like it took a few times before she wised up. But actresses in general don't seem particularly bright.

I am not sure if it was about anything in particular. It was just something she tweeted after Gilliam tweeted something anti MeToo.

Okay then Morgan and Kevin. Also Dustin Hoffman fessed up to something too I think. I prefer my wacko celebritys in the mold of Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson. They know how to be crazy.

Woody Allan doesn't count because he has always been a bit creepy and has been making the same marginal movie every year for what seems forever.

I never was a big Cosby fan. So he made some comedy records sold a lot of Jello and had an over rated sitcom. Big Deal.

And hot off the presses.... newspaper fire ‘My hard-won advice: never get into an elevator alone with Terry Gilliam’ - Ellen Barkin

You don't have to warn me Ellen,
Gilliam would probably go on and on about his movies if I was stuck in an elevator

Never liked the Cosby show and Cosby was severely overrated as a comedian. My take others whole #metoo movement is, scumbags deserve to held accountable but don't use it as a vendetta to end the careers of people you don't like. Also not every sexual conversation is harassment nor should every one quality as a #metoo scenario .

Read that TPTB at a certain radio station has decided not to play Baby It's Cold Outside this holiday season citing: "#MeToo". (Not naming city--don’t want citizenry to think I’m throwing-bricks at their fair metropolis.)

*> Maybe it’s time to start a list of the DA thing people are doing in the name of “#MeToo”! *

Anyway…

If you happen to live in that censored city—this is for you.

"Baby it's Cold Outside"

(I'm apologizing upfront. sunglasses )

It's not just #MeToo but so many other things that people are upset about from Molly Ringwald discovering that "The Breakfast Club" was not very "Woke" as the kids say, to that idiot who doesn't like Apu even though the Simpsons have been on for the last 30 years, to the Kevin Hart debacle, to worst of all that racist Eurocentric tradition of "The Nutcracker Ballet" grimacing

The sad state of everything.

Move over Cosby.

What, you think there's not going to be an appeal?

The good ship Harvey has sunk and all the rats that supported and protected him have left.

Well that's a good thing in many ways. But the actual criminal conviction is far from certain. There are so many grounds for appeal - and overturning the verdict - I won't even start to list them. There are plenty of other sources for the information.

They weren’t in it because they were loyal to Harv. They were in it for the reflected glory and the $$$. The former is gone; and the latter is probably in Uncle Sam’s care until Harv has paid (ha ha) his debt to society.

To paraphrase Oprah:

Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but no one wants to take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.

Or the good old "Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan."

“The Pennsylvania Supreme Court voted to grant disgraced comedy legend Bill Cosby the right to file an appeal on his conviction of sexual assault.” (rollingout 06/23/20).

Seems as if...no matter how deep you bury a “bad penny”, it always….

"Ellen"? astonished

Oh the humanity!

The actor who plays played my favorite character on the series, "The Expanse" has been #MeTooed. You'd think that with the high profile lawsuits/convictions/ruined careers/etc., by now EVERYONE would have learned to expect zero tolerance for their predatory behavior...obviously not.

Anyway...

As for the character: So long Cowboy...gonna mis'ya!

As for the actor: Shame on you...shudda known better!

"Bill Cosby Officially Released From PA Prison After Overturned Conviction"

Both sides lost some. Both sides won some.

Released from a PA prison, which has been a bittersweet experience for The Cos. Being incarcerated wasn't fun, but he had the most(though certainly not the best or most consensual)sex there than he's had in years

I know it’s nothing to even joke about; but, still, too bad “Let the punishment fit the crime.” isn’t something that can be taken literally.
