Hi Travis,
Wondered whether we could add the following jobs :
Carpenter
Casting Associate
Hair Department Head
Thx
Mod edit:
You can request missing crew jobs in this topic. The new crew jobs have to be English and free of spelling mistakes. Please specify in which of the following departments each new job should be created: Directing, Writing, Editing, Camera, Production, Art, Costume & Make-Up, Visual Effects, Sound, Lighting, or Crew.
Kindly try to avoid making duplicates job requests (search the last few pages), or requesting crew jobs that are already added to TMDb.

@Jaydee Richardson An Action Model would be the person who wears the Mo-Cap suit covered in ping-pong balls while modeling actions. Apparently, IMdB uses "motion capture actor" for such, and TMDB has 'Motion Actor'. So I guess it's covered. However, now there are many more missing roles... all dealing with various aspects of Motion Capture

I suggest: Tea Lady
Most movies produced in Asian countries have had this role in the credits. Their sole job was to keep the cast and crews tea cups full.

Hello! I second the previous user who suggested adding the role of "Intimacy Coordinator". It is a role that has been growing in importance lately, too.

Still no addition of any of the following roles:
Key Puppeteer, Puppet Builder, Puppeteer, Puppets.
Category: Crew
(Mentioned on this thread by Torq00 on July 11, 2018, p.16)
These are important roles I almost always need to add!

New here, so not sure who this should be directed at or how these things get updated, but would it be possible to add Director's Assistant as a job? There are currently options for Actor's Assistant and Producer's Assistant, but not Director's Assistant. I suppose it could fall under any one of the Directing, Production, or Crew categories. Please and thank you!

This is one job that I do frequently on some independent short films but I’ve never been able to credit myself for it, it encompasses a lot of different tasks, but mostly handling the advertising of a film.
PRODUCTION: - Producer of Marketing & Distribution (“PMD”)

Visual Effects Department:
Directing Department:
Art Department:
Costume Department
Crew Department:
Production Department:
Sound Department:
The Japanese credit I've given is what I've come across, but I'm sure there are slightly different titles that refer to the same jobs I've listed here.
Also, it would be great to give mods the ability to add and edit crew jobs if that's possible.
# The more literal term is "Design Production" (or "Settings Production"), but this name could easily be confused with the top/supervisorial art department role. It's translated appropriately as "Asset Manager" in the excellent production guide for anime by the The Association of Japanese Animators (they explain the role quite well).
^ "MA" is used all the time in live TV productions. It refers to bringing all the the sound elements together (effects, recording, ADR, etc.), so a sound mixing/post production type of job. I've seen NHK translate it simply as "Sound", but a specific "Multi Audio" crew job would be nice for Japanese-only credits.
