Circles (Serbian: Krugovi) is a Serbian movie based on the true story of a Serbian soldier who risked his life to protect a Muslim civilian during the war in Bosnia. During the war in Bosnia in 1993, a Serbian soldier pays for his life after protecting a Muslim civilian from being attacked by three other soldiers. 12 years later, the consequences of this act of heroism are still having their repercussions.

In this documentary, director Tang records his own son's birth and growing up, his father's recovering from a stroke and a nostalgic trip home to China. From his search for the earliest memory of life, with a close observation and sensitivity, he exams the parallels of the different lives of a different time. In his previous work, "HOW DEEP IS THE OCEAN," director Tang ends it with the ultrasound image of his unborn child, representing the beginning of a new life. With this work, "HOW HIGH IS THE MOUNTAIN," it is rather a beginning of a series of questions about life and a continuation of examination of his own life and the longing of a perfect world.

The International Union for the Conservation of Nature once considered the expansive tidal flats connecting the Dadu and Zhuoshui River estuaries in southeastern Taiwan as one of Asia’s most significant wetland areas. This area was once one of Taiwan’s most important bird habitats as well. But the passage of time has increasingly distanced local fishing villages from the sea and its sustenance.

During the Chinese Civil War, part of the KMT (Chinese Nationalist) forces retreated to the Thai-Burma border region. Under international pressure, most of the troops were evacuated to Taiwan in 1961, yet some remained. In northern Thailand and in central Taiwan, the two groups shared a similar destiny while they were apart. Now that over 50 years have passed, their differences gradually emerge, and their descendants are struggling with their identity.

2002年，陕西农民工韩培银的儿子韩胜利考上了一所大学。他卖掉了家里的贵重物品，凑够了学费，带着儿子去了Xi安。49岁时，他成了一名农民工。当韩培银得知儿子考上了某省属大学，选择了通信工程这个“热门”专业时，他的梦想骄傲地来到了这个农村家庭。2006年，韩胜利第一次参加招聘会。在人头攒动的招聘现场，他穿着灰色运动服，挨个走近每个摊位，然后转身慢慢走开。最终，胜利毕业后在青海找了份工作。试用期内，他每个月去600元，帮地方单位在野外铺设通讯电缆。

在为电视台拍摄《父亲》系列时，导演李认识了典型的“中国父亲”韩培音，李对拍摄他产生了兴趣。纪录片《父亲》是《我是谁——农民工子女调查》系列的故事之一。当时电视台只支持李做一个28分钟的版本。但李有更好的素材，脑子里也有新的想法，于是和台湾省CNEX公司合作，制作了47分钟版的《父亲》 。后来剪辑时，李剪掉了韩佩茵哭泣的镜头。

Some of the architectures still remained in the same places as they had been in the postcards. Over hundreds of years, this piece of reclaimed land carries memories of fishing men, customs declarers, and local elders from generations to generations. Sceneries in people's memories intertwine with different time layers of maps of Hamasen. What kinds of messages do we intend to leave for the next generation?

The government of Kaohsiung City re-create the 8th Plant Project which located in Yengchen and there’s an electronic-mechanical street played as a very important role to support economic development of Kaohsiung City after World War II. But now, it is dispersion and decline. Finally, there’s a park. Through this documentary, the TKHEMS* group tries again to appeal the municipal government with helplessness.
