I agree. I wonder what made him think they were that great to begin with -- even w/the embroidery. I mean who hasn't seen that?

Yeah, he definitely made a mistake with the whole "Van Gogh" idea. Being too basic or safe is the surest way to get eliminated on this show. You're better off really going for it, even if it doesn't quite work.

I'm thinking he thought he only had to beat Hawlaa, but those same designs will have to go up against others too.
