I am so digging these episodes with the back and forth timelines. Tonight was another one that was exceptionally well done.
No spoilers. But I was drawn in and really moved with the ending. Made me emotional as well.

I'm liking the frame-of-reference thinking they're toying with in the show this season that Hardwick referred to on "Talking Dead." In this one, for awhile, Alicia acted 100% like a villain. So much depends on how you look at the characters in this universe. Did you feel she gave in to Morgan imploring her to stop too easily? I also felt a bit of disgust to see that little girl Charlie with the group eating ramen at the show's end, all things considered.
Since I called Madison dying in the older timeline awhile ago, it felt somewhat anticlimactic to me. What made me emotional was how good the character was, and the fact that she's gone now.

Is she for sure? I mean, I didn't watch Talking Dead afterwards, so I don't know, if they said so there.

They said it. Madison is now simply a part of the annals of TV, and Alicia is the last remnant of the Clark family on the show.

Oh, OK. I was never a fan of hers - just didn't think Dickens portraited her as a believable character.
Maybe we can get back to Salazar now? ;)

I know what you mean about Madison. I just mean she was a challenging character - an apocalyptic mom in her 40s or maybe 50s. Maybe that's why Dickens didn't render her well enough for you.
It'd be great to get back to Salazar. This show has so many characters floating around in it, they feel almost wasted. Remember that bitter girl Alex, whom Strand abandoned to die way back in the day when he had the Abigail?

I grew to care about Madison, I think it happened during the Mexican hotel story. Initially she annoyed the piss out of me, and while I still found her S4 Jesus complex frustrating and maddening, I did care about her. I liked her indomitable spirit and unwillingness to let her family fracture at any cost (including murder). She was also so less trigger-happy and preachy than Rick Grimes (her counterpart on TWD). I also grew to like Dickens even though her expression was one of perpetually sucking on lemon candy. I will miss her. I was surprised that she was killed off because it seemed obvious through whole first half season, so I was convinced they would pull a "Glenn" and that at the last moment we would see her get away. I suppose I have to applaud their decision to not go cheap like TWD did.
And yes. All half season I've been wanting to know WTF happened to Salazar. His story cannot be over. He has to settle the score with Strand, and he's the perfect foil for goody-goody simpleton Morgan (who annoys me endlessly).
I also can't believe that half way through the fourth season there is only one character left from the beginning (two, if you count Strand but I think he showed up late in season one). So far John Dorie is far and away my favorite new character followed by June. John seems to be the most relatable human on the show.
