In a new interview with THR, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf spoke about all things FX related including the possibly of Fargo ending after this season. Here is what Landgraf had to say about Fargo’s future:
“There may never be another Fargo. Unless Noah has an idea for Fargo that he thinks he can make as good as the prior three. I think once people get to the end of this [season] they will find that it is thematically different. It’s really about the moment we live in now.”

What does that even mean, "thematically different"? It's an anthology, they should be able to spin it however they want to.

Honestly I am bored with the characters. Fargo has always -at least for me- been about the well developed interesting characters. This season has failed to draw me into the story. I don't care about Ray and his slutty girlfriend. I don't care about the police detective investigating the murder either. I don't even like that music in the background.

I agree, not even Ewan could save the day. Last season was hilarious and really gruesome at the same time which is exactly as Fargo should be.

It's CEO-speak for, "I know how to crunch numbers and fly around in a business jet, but I haven't got a damned idea how the creative process works." He desperately WANTS another season--it's money in the bank and critical gold for FX--but he's at the mercy of the show writer. He's blowing sunshine up Noah's skirt so hard he's hyperventilating.

I know. This season revolves around a collectible stamp so that Ray a parole officer can marry his client, a felon? That doesn't even sound interesting on paper.

I heard about this. I will be pretty disappointed if there isn't another season. I was always hoping Fargo would run for at least 5 seasons. If Hawley doesn't want to continue it I guess I can understand, but I still hope he changes his mind about doing more.

On the contrary, absurd details like that is what makes this season brilliant. I've enjoyed it far more than the previous two.

I think it would have been neat had they connected the stamp from this season to the three cent stamp Norm had painted in the movie.

I think Ewan is the weak link this season. I am not really believing him as either character. Nikki and Sy are the standouts, imo.

Hawley is getting busy with other projects. And, frankly, I think they're running out of creative steam on this one, and they know it. Maybe some time off will recharge their creative batteries to better effect. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

"“It took 15 months to get Season 2 off the ground, and 18 months to get Season 3 on the air. I have to turn my attention to the second season of Legion and a film potentially the winter after next. We’re looking at three years from now,” the EP about a rough timeline for a Fargo Season 4."
FX and the Coen Brothers should replace show runner Noah Hawley with someone else who actually will do the job. I found Hawley's "let the viewer decide ending" to be a lazy non-ending. The Fargo movie and the first two seasons did not end that way. Fire him and get someone else to run it.
I found the 10-episode Season 3 to be the weakest. Don't expect me to watch one or two or three other TV series for references to what is going on, you lazy hack. The Peter and The Wolf episode was horrid, as the music was dropped almost immediately, and never came up gain. Too many loose ends from beginning to end. I'm not interested in reading Hawley's drug-induced mind. Dump him.

I personally really enjoyed season 3, and Noah Hawley would be my #1 choice to continue the series. However, I would be open to a new headwriter taking over if he/she had the right vision. I'm not sure if he would do it, but I think it would be interesting to see what David Lynch could do with a season of Fargo.
