I know that they mentioned in the first season at least that she was not native to New Mexico and that she originally was from another state, possibly the Midwest. I only bring it up because it looks like Jimmy, Saul, is living in another state and maybe he ran to Kim after the events of BB. They always had that weird fetish of being some else to run Cons. So maybe even though she was gone throughout BB, he may have kept in contact with her and maybe ran to her. Hopefully they slowly introduce factors that slowly move Kim out of the picture. I am hoping that these future Saul installments lead to somewhere other than Saul being paranoid about being discovered.

Kim Wexler was born and raised in a small town on the Kansas-Nebraska border. She left her hometown and moved to Albuquerque, because of the few opportunities she had in her hometown.
So, you think that Kim moved away from Albuquerque--maybe back to her hometown; and that's also where "Cinnabon Saul" lives now?

It has been awhile since I saw the final episode of BB, however I do remember that Saul had to get change his name and get out of town, I am not sure if it was mentioned where he was going to end up. So it is possible that he might have gone back to Kim if she left and went back to her town on the Kansas-Nebraska border. They are keeping it very vague as to where Saul ended up at the end of BB.

My husband and I are predicting that he's in Nebraska, and that if the show runs long enough, we'll see him cross paths with Kim as Gene.

I think she knows he is Gene, she has a soft spot for Jimmy and if anything, Jimmy knew where she was and ran to her after things went south in BB.

I've been thinking along the same lines. The only thing that would go against this theory is that in the 2nd clip I posted, he seemed genuinely surprised (and not too thrilled) that he was being sent to Nebraska.

Most of what we're seeing on BCS is before BB, but the scenes with Jimmy as "Gene" working at the Cinnabon in Nebraska are actually set after Breaking Bad.
