It's a special that's listed as a movie on Disney+ and therefore also listed as one here: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/1399914-the-simpsons-o-c-mon-all-ye-faithful

The description says it's a "special double-episode". Why isn't listed as a special? I'm not seeing listed as a movie, it's just listed on it's own, but is being called a special episode.

Even if it is presented as a "special double-episode" in the overview, it is listed by Disney+ as a movie, as indicated in its URL.

Please elaborate on what you mean by "as indicated in its URL". The URL i see is:

https://www.disneyplus.com/play/9f08d6cf-1aa8-46ab-8894-1a058f2289de

How does this show it's a film? Nothing on the Disney+ page lists it as a movie. They aren't referring to it as a movie anywhere only the page, but they do call it a "special double-episode".

The URL of it is https://www.disneyplus.com/movies/the-simpsons-o-cmon-all-ye-faithful/2mKQBi8E2fjB as this is also indicated by Shei above.

When I clicked the link from Shei it took me to:

https://www.disneyplus.com/browse/entity-9f08d6cf-1aa8-46ab-8894-1a058f2289de

but I guess I missed the re-direct originally.

Disney+ episodes aren't movies or specials. They are regular episodes and part of season 36. O C'mon All Ye Faithful - ep. 10/11 The Past and the Furious - ep.14

Please correct this.

Both episodes have regular episodes numbers and production codes. Only difference is airing network.

They are like Treehouse of Horror - in-season specials.

As per our rules; we follow the official original broadcaster of the series, which is currently Fox. As you can see on its official page, Fox didn't left hole in the numbering of the episodes. Consequently, they can't be part of the regular season.

For now there is two official broadcasters - Fox and Disney+. And you can't ignore this. You can't use Fox page because, they list only Fox episodes.
They are part of season, airing exclusively on Disney+. They have regular prod. codes too. Secondary source can be use in this case. For example: https://tv.apple.com/us/show/the-simpsons/umc.cmc.1kfo3z1jtaj8ff6wsh9cvxbwu

The only valid sources are the 2 original broadcasters (Fox and Disney+). None of them list these episodes as part of season 36. So, they shouldn't be listed there. Other sites are free to do what they want.

The production codes have nothing to do with the way they were broadcasted.

Do you understand that both broadcasters list only episodes, which airs on them? Fox can't list Disney+ episodes (because they airs exclusively on D+), and Disney+ Fox episodes (till whole season releases in Disney+). This is why you should use secondary sources.

That doesn't change anything to our listing.

Secondary sources aren't original broadcasters of the series and can list them the way they want.

They can't do what they want, if they are reliable source. Apple is, it releases episodes officially on their platform. And again, they are two original broadcasters, that lists only that episodes that aired on them. This doesn't mean that Disney+ episode aren't part of season.
