Julie Branes (Peggy Lipton), was my favourite character. 
It was nice seeing the actress later in "Twin Peaks (1990-1991, 2017)".

Yes, definitely Peggy. She's the member of the trio who I still most readily and clearly remember.
You probably already know it, but (in case you don't) she's actress Rashida Jones' https://www.themoviedb.org/person/80591-rashida-jones?language=en-US mother.

Yes. Peggy was on the same show as her daughter. She played Peggie Tribeca, the mother of Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones) on the TV show "Angie Tribeca (2016-)".

I didn't know that. I've heard mention of that show, but never anything beyond the title, and didn't know who was on it. Neat that mother and daughter had opportunity to act together!

In fact both Rashida's parents were going to be on the show as her character's parents, but after the pilot, she decided to recast the role of Angie's father.
So Quincy Jones got the boot from his own daughter.

I can definitely see some of both of Rashida Jones' parents in her face.
