Does anyone know why she left the show? I grew up on this show but I can't remember why she left.

She had drug problems and was fired.

Twice. The first time she was fired they wrote it into the show as her and Max moving to another state. The second time she was fired Max stayed on the show and it was written Julie had abandoned him and their baby , Annie.
