Trivia:
This is a remake of the original episode: The Outer Limits (1963-1965) S2E09 "I, Robot (1964)".
Leonard Nimoy (a.k.a. Mr. Spock 
from Star Trek: The Original Series) was also in that episode, then as newspaper reporter Judson Ellis.
In this 1995 version he played defence attorney Thurman Cutler.
Side note:
The final scene, where a car is about to run over someone, reminds me of that in STOS S1E28 "The City on the Edge of Forever (1967)".
The outcome is different, but still tragic:
Kirk lives, Edith Keeler dies; Adam "dies" 
, Carrie Emerson lives.
