I know the series ended with him still in the chair, but I cant remember what his chances of recovery were. Did they say he would never walk again or was there still a chance of him getting feeling back. Last I heard he was having some spasms occasionally.

Very late to answering this but his chances were very slim. Dr. Zach Addy had actually falsified correspondences with Hodges doctor ( he pretended to be an expert ) and his procedure was found to faulty, he told Hodges that his spasms and feelings in his legs was "hope" and not the real thing.
