I was kind of expecting Tim to use it. It has become kind of a cliche that he saves the eliminated final 4 contestant. I love Tim but he needs to change it up a little
Ayana was robbed. Kenya too. Brandon's look was interesting but too similar to previous looks. I agree with Margarita being sent home. At least the third costume look she has done {last week's superhero outfit and the white dancing costume}. I would rather see a collection from Kentaro than her. Shame on you, Tim.
IMO, Kenya or Margarita are not good designers, I think they both should have been gone. Kenya can make a nice dress but she seems not to have any creative idea's- her and Margarita both seem to lose their heads every time they have to come up with an idea (just like those twins did). If you are so great at something and someone asks you to show them what you are great at- why lose your head get all flustered and start crying?
I did like Ayana's look, but I also like Brandon's 'streamers' designs. Margarita should have been sent home before her friend was (forgot his name). Tim should have used the save on him- not Margarita.
I agree -I would rather see a collection from Kentaro than her.
To me, the only ones who have real skills this season are Ayana , Brandon and Kentaro . I really think Kentaro has allowed the judges to get in his head too much with their critiques and he has lost his inner focus.
It is all too obvious that Brandon is their favorite.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. I think Tim should have saved Michael last week and Margarita should be gone. Ayana, Brandon and Kentaro are the best. I would put Kenya 4th. She is not as creative as the top three but she does what she does really well and lots of women would wear her cloths.
Brandon has been the obvious favorite for quite a while.
I have not been impressed by Brandon at all. He seems to be a one trick pony. Most of his designs fall with his white, cream, pinkish pallet. Lots of strips. I truly have no idea what the judges see in him.
There is a fine line between "distictive voice" and "one trick pony." It is obvious where the judges stand. I don't disagree about the sameness to his designs, but he seems to examine how his voice can be expressed in each challenge. Lots of strips, indeed.

I think it's just fatigue setting in for Kenya. I can't say the same for Margarita.

Yep. Let's see this parade of strings on his showing at Fashion Week.

Blashphoney!
Sorry Poetist , like I said I do think Kenya can make a nice/pretty dress, but her designs always look so familiar to me. That white dress- very pretty but still looks like a wedding gown/cocktail party dress I have seen many times before. That ruffled pantsuit -nice, but reminded me of Prince. Zig Zag pattern jumpsuit -nice, but she can't seem to keep the idea's steady coming. I just don't think she is innovative. Hell yes she can sew, but to hit the mark creatively every time -no...and she has never won a challenge-and yes the judges can be with their opinions, but she just hasn't wowed me either.

singing working at the car wash, yeah
Brandons 'streamers' sometimes remind me of the wipers at a car wash- but it is very
different, unusual, and futuristic. I like it. I can see more people liking his style. Even though they both have their own clothing lines- I can see Kanye and Rihanna in Brandon's "strings".

That's a good visual -- the car wash -- and streamers work as well.
To me, Brandon is repetitive, and there's nothing new. So far, we've seen nothing but streamers and crop tops.

I agree, Poetist. I don't see it as his style or aesthetic so much as simple repetition. Kenya and Margarita may struggle in many episodes, but they work through that.

If there was one episode where they didn't struggle, I missed it. Kenya is the only one who has not won a challenge and Margarita is on a Wonder Woman costume repetition, so neither of them have worked through anything. Most designers are repetitive- that's how some of their designs are recognized as being their's.

I think it's obvious Brandon is going to win, because they let him skate so much. The judges never call him out for anything.

P.S.- I think Tim just wants to get the chance to use his save, so at the last minute -he eventually winds up using it on anyone.
