Discuss Go, Diego, Go!

Item: Go, Diego, Go!

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Design_issue

Extra Details: I have restored the previous airdates that were wrongly changed by a Polish user 2 years ago (certainly with Polish release dates). The restored dates seem to come from the Wikipedia page.

But, for the second half of the 1st season, there are differences (noted in bold below) on the dates and consequently the order for a few episodes. Wikipedia doesn't give sources and the Fandoms refer to Nickstory archives, an homemade calendar of Nickelodeon broadcasts.

On Wikipedia, we have:

  • 11 : A Booboo on the Pygmy marmoset, January 23, 2006
  • 14 : Linda the Librarian, February 6, 2006
  • 16+17 : Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue, March 7, 2006
  • 18 : Diego's Wolf Pup Rescue, March 19, 2006
  • 19 : Baby Jaguar to the Rescue, March 26, 2006

On the Fandoms (https://godiegogo.fandom.com/wiki/Season_1 and https://dora.fandom.com/wiki/Go,_Diego,_Go!_Season_1_Episodes), we have:

  • 11 : Linda the Librarian, January 23, 2006
  • 12 : A Booboo on the Pygmy marmoset, January 24, 2006
  • 17 : Diego's Wolf Pup Rescue, September 18, 2006
  • 18+19 : Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue, August 17, 2007
  • 20 : Baby Jaguar to the Rescue, October 15, 2007

Which dates are correct ?

Subsidiary questions:

  • Was "Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?
  • What is the correct title for the episode from July 10, 2006 about the sea turtles ? Wikipedia indicates "Diego Saves the Sea Turtles" and the Fandoms indicate just "Save the Sea Turtles".

For seasons 4 and 5, all airdates are identical between Wikipedia and the Fandom.

Subsidiary questions:

  • Was "Diego's International Rescue League" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?
  • Was "Fiercest Animals!" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?
  • Was there really a split in 2 seasons (4 and 5) or was there only one season 4 with all the episodes ? One of the fandom present only a 4th season not splitted between season 4 and season 5.

A Booboo on the Pygmy marmoset:

There are no archives for the week of Jan. 23 so I have no way of checking if it aired on either of those dates.

Linda the Librarian:

The schedule for the week of Feb. 6, 2006 has a 1:30 episode of the show that looks to be "Linda the LIbrarian" so, assuming the page the link opens is the actual episode that aired, the episode did air on that date. There are no archives for the week of Jan. 23 so I have no way of checking if it aired before Feb. 6 2006.

Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue:

There are no archives for the week of Mar. 6, 2006 so I have no way of checking if it aired that week.

Diego's Wolf Pup Rescue:

This could not have aired on March 19, 2006 as the show was part of the Nick Jr. morning block on Nickelodeon and that was weekdays only and March 19, 2006 was a Sunday. According to the schedule, the episode did air on Sept. 18, 2006 at 9:30 AM, with the same assumption that the page the link opens is the actual episode that aired. It's also possible it aired sometime between these two dates.

Baby Jaguar to the Rescue:

This could not have aired on March 26, 2006 as the show was part of the Nick Jr. morning block on Nickelodeon and that was weekdays only and March 26, 2006 was a Sunday. According to the schedule, the episode did air on Oct. 15, 2007 at 9:30 AM, with the same assumption that the page the link opens is the actual episode that aired. It's also possible it aired sometime between these two dates.

Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue:

There are no archives for the week of March 6, 2006 and the archives for the week of Aug. 13, 2007 only have Monday and Tuesday so I have no way of checking when it aired or if it was two episodes or one.

What is the correct title for the episode from July 10, 2006 about the sea turtles ? Wikipedia indicates "Diego Saves the Sea Turtles" and the Fandoms indicate just "Save the Sea Turtles".

The schedule says the title of the 11:30 AM episode was "Rescue the Sea Turtles." I don't know if there's an on-screen title or if it's different.

The Iguana Sing Along:

The episode doesn't appear to have aired on Oct. 17, 2006 as the two episodes on the schedule for that day were "Rescue the Sea Turtles" and "Diego saves Mommy and Baby Sloth."

The episode is listed as the 9:30 AM episode on Oct. 17, 2007 according to the schedule for the week of Oct. 15, 2007.

Panchita the Prairie Dog Finds a New Prairie:

According to the schedule for the week of Dec. 4, 2006, the episode that aired on Dec. 6, 2006 was "A Blue Morpho Butterfly Is Born!"

This episode is listed as the 9:30 AM episode on Oct. 18, 2007 according to the schedule for the week of Oct. 15, 2007 but it's titled "Panchita the Prarie Dog" (should be Prairie instead of Prarie).

  • Was "Diego's Safari Rescue" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?

The schedule for the week of Oct. 8 2007 has this episode airing at 9:30 AM and "continued..." at 10 AM but it's titled "Diego's African Safari!" I'm assuming the "continued..." means it's one episode.

Green Iguana Helps Abuelito Plant a New Strawberry Farm:

There are no archives of the schedule for the week of Feb. 4, 2008 or the week of April 14, 2008 so I have no way of checking if it aired on either date.

Kicho's Magic Flute! / Rainforest Rhapsody / Gorilla Fun / Whistling Willie Finds a Buddy / Super Flying Squirrel to the Rescue / Diego and Porcupine Save the Piñata! / Save The Giant Tortoises / Egyptian Camel Adventure

There are no archives of the schedule for any of these dates so I have no way of checking if it aired on either date.

The Bobo's Mother's Day!:

The schedule for the week of May 5, 2008 has this episode as the 9:30 AM episode for May 9, 2008.

  • Was "Tuga Helps the Moon" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?

There's no archive for the week this episode aired so I have no way of checking.

  • Was "The Great Polar Bear Rescue" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?

Same as "Diego's Safari Rescue," the schedule has this episode airing at 9:30 AM and "continued..." at 10 AM. I'm assuming the "continued..." means it's one episode.

  • What is the correct title for the episode about the giant tortoises ? Wikipedia indicates just"Save the Giant Tortoises" and the Fandoms indicate "Diego and Dora Save the Giant Tortoises".

There's no archive for the week this episode aired so I have no way of checking.

  • Was "Diego's International Rescue League" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?

There's no archive for the week this episode aired so I have no way of checking.

  • Was "Fiercest Animals!" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?

There's no archive for the week this episode aired so I have no way of checking.

  • Was there really a split in 2 seasons (4 and 5) or was there only one season 4 with all the episodes ? One of the fandom present only a 4th season not splitted between season 4 and season 5.

I don't know. The page for season 5 on the Dora Fandom has a "Trivia" section that mentions that the season 5 episodes were produced as part of season 4. Not sure if that implies they aired as part of a separate season.

Thank you for your researchs.

Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue:

There are no archives for the week of Mar. 6, 2006 so I have no way of checking if it aired that week.

Without proofs, I will left these episodes as they are currently listed.

Without more proofs, I will left these episodes as they are currently listed. If we move "Baby Jaguar to the Rescue" to October 15, 2007, that will imply moving it near the end of the 2nd season without being sure that it didn't air before.

Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue:

There are no archives for the week of March 6, 2006 and the archives for the week of Aug. 13, 2007 only have Monday and Tuesday so I have no way of checking when it aired or if it was two episodes or one.

Without proofs, I will left it in 2 parts as they are currently listed.

I have changed the title to "Rescue the Sea Turtles". The episodes I have doesn't include an on-screen title.

I have done the changes. If it appears that the episodes were first broadcasted before, it will be easy to move them as there will be no season change.

I have done the change.

Without proofs, I will left these episodes as they are currently listed.

The Bobo's Mother's Day!:

The schedule for the week of May 5, 2008 has this episode as the 9:30 AM episode for May 9, 2008.

I have done the change.

  • Was "Tuga Helps the Moon" broadcasted as a double-length episode or as 2 consecutive episodes ?

There's no archive for the week this episode aired so I have no way of checking.

Without more proof, I will left it listed as one single part as it is currently listed.

This confirm our listing in one single part.

  • What is the correct title for the episode about the giant tortoises ? Wikipedia indicates just"Save the Giant Tortoises" and the Fandoms indicate "Diego and Dora Save the Giant Tortoises".

There's no archive for the week this episode aired so I have no way of checking.

Without proof, I will let the title as is.

Without more proof, I will left it listed as one single part as it is currently listed.

Without more proofs, I will keep the 2 seasons.

Note : I have preventively locked the seasons to avoid a new vandalism like the one that happen when the Polish titles have been added.
