The main point was, she got upset with Howard when he and Raj went in together to buy a used 3D printer, because they were supposedly saving for a house etc. And Howard then sold his share to Raj.
Once they got the house basically for free, because of Howard, she should have bought him a 3D printer to make up for the one he "lost."
(Although with her job/income, realistically they probably didn't have to "save up" for a house anyway.)
Yes, but I suspect she really just thought the 3D printer was stupid and used the saving up for a house thing as one of her reasons for shaming him about it. I doubt she had any intention of buying him one/letting him have one later.
Maybe not. But compared to buying a house, buying him a Rolex watch was stupid too.
Of course the main thing to remember, as with most shows, is that the writers have little problem contradicting themselves from one episode to another, or maybe even within an episode, if it's required for the next joke.

Very true.
I would not want a Rolex. Who needs fancy gold wrist skin irritators that cost thousands to tell you what any cell phone, clock radio or lit up sign in front of the local savings and loan could.
The median home price in Altadena is well over $1 Million. And theirs could be on the high side, with at least 3 bedrooms and at least 2 bathrooms, maybe 2.5 or 3. Plus garage, etc.
Bernadette definitely owed him a 3D Printer for that.
And unless it was stated otherwise in a will, Howard probably inherited the house as separate property from his mother, which means Bernadette has no share of it. The kids might, but not Bernadette.

Although Bernadette did tell Howard in one episode that she wanted her "baby to have nice things", I think she meant as long as it was her idea.
