Debate La Teoría del Big Bang

Now as you were saying Tim, "Crocs are shoes that you can wear in the water. A moccasin is a shoe. Therefore, a water moccasin is a shoe that you can wear in the water. If it bites you, you might want to get a bigger size."

Do you ever read italics with a British accent due to their formal appearance? If not, you should.

If you were bitten by an H2O moccasin you'd HAVE to get a bigger shoe because your foot would be swolled up.

And now the on topic part of this post: Sheldon had feet.

I'm a biological life form just like anyone else. I have document that show residence in this country. What more needs to be said.

Oh look! a song about crawdads:

Crawdad Song

So you think you can post one of the most touching love songs of all time and I'll just forget the avatar, huh?

Yep

You got a problem with that?

Lets' see if we can't bring some other people back to the conversation. Other than Big Bang, what other shows do people watch? I know a lot of us watch Star Trek in its many forms. Right now I'm watching News Radio re-runs and I catch Community when I can.

Anybody else?

Some of the shows I've watched within the past year(+) include Succession, House of the Dragon, White Lotus, Resident Alien, Wednesday, Jury Duty, The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Stranger Things, The Crown, Better Call Saul...I'm sure I've forgotten some.

And reruns of Little House on the Prairie, the Waltons and the Brady Bunch. 😁

Have any of you watched any of those?

"Little House on the Prairie" is always fun to watch, especially when the children are stll little.

Yes, every time I watch it I'm transported back to my childhood.

Because I watched it as a child, not because I grew up in the 1800s.

I always looked forward to their dinners and thought that they ate food that resembled what people ate from then. Later I read that it was fried chicken from KFC, and the other food - chicken and dumplings, Dinty Moore beef stew (yes, the same food Raj ordered with his lobsters), Pillsbury biscuits, pies, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - from the cafeteria on the Paramount studios lot. The Oleson family ate roast beef, potatoes, green beans, and gravy.

Yes, if you peek behind the curtain of these childhood shows you are sure to be disappointed. I watched an episode the other day where Almanzo told Nellie he had some delicious kidneys that he was going to eat for lunch. I'm glad we didn't have to see that!

I can't remember the kidneys, but the cinnamon chicken episode was hilarious. grinning

The kidneys were part of that same two-parter! 😁

Ah, it's Laura's fault. The cayenne pepper caused memory loss. wink

You joke is confusing to me.

I have a new joke for you Tim.

What do you get when you cross a woodpecker with Bertie Higgins' "Key Largo"?

OK I give up. Who is Bertie Higgins? All I can think of is the guy from Magnum PI.

I just want to toss this out there as a possible discussion topic:

Differences between Young Sheldon and Big Bang

I... I'm at a loss for words right now honestly. I didn't think there was anyone who didn't know Bertie Higgins and his 70s hit "Key Largo". I might as well just go ahead and finish the joke.

The answer was "to get to the other side".

As far as your new thread topic above, it is an honorable one but I do not watch Young Sheldon so unfortunately I could not join in. If you would like me to contrast anything else with the Big Bang Theory though, say a Tibetan Monastery or an Olympic curling team, I could.
