Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Anthony Dominick Benedetto (August 3, 1926 – July 21, 2023)

The article describes Tony Bennett as: "a Singer Who Broke Generational Barriers". An apt description. Because when it comes to music, even though there may be some overlap sometimes; generally, each generation has its "own".

What a testament to the man's great talent and to the longevity of his exceptional career that you can have five generations under one roof…and either can mention Tony Bennett…without anyone in the other four asking "who?".

A lot of great music...over a lot of years.

Nope. Didn't forget. Didn't think it necessary then...don't think it's necessary now.

Why do you ask...is there some controversy surrounding whether or not he is actually dead?

What's with the snark?

I read some articles but would have liked to know where the quote came from.

If you put in the quote, and do a "search", you'll find that it pops up all over the place. It's part of the intro that many of the major news outlet were using for their tributes to the singer.

As for the "snark"...Don't take it personally. It's my go-to face_with_raised_eyebrow when someone asks me a question that they (with a little legwork) could easily have answered on their own.

FOR THE RECORD: From this day forward…I will snark no more, forever.
