...National Wine Day!
National Wine Day is an annual feast celebrated on May 25th of every year.
I think it's so great that Penny has her on holiday! The best part is (and I quote): "you need not excuse yourself to have a glass of wine or perhaps some glasses of wine."
Enjoy!

Today, November 11, is Veterans Day. - "We recognize the Patriots who have served in the military, and thank them for their service to our country.”
"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honour to whom honour."
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” - (John Fitzgerald Kennedy)
Yeah. I know. It was celebrated yesterday. But...that was so retailers could have 'one extra'
shopping day. The rest of us prefer some authenticity to go along with our patriotism.

I always have trouble with the commercialization of holidays. I keep thinking: What can they do to disrespect THIS one.
Presidents Day mattress sales? Veterans Day : The Sale to end all sales. Come to our over-the-top clearance sales. They're to die for!

Some weird stuff is going on...I don't know what. I didn't have the patience to “wrestle with it” so I deleted it.

"National Bird Day is a celebration of birds and their diverse species...,"
Humans have more in common with birds than we think. And, now that Sheldon no longer fears our Feathered Friends, even he would appreciate this "fact".

Well; was looking for something other than the SOSO to help showcase the day. Was just lucky stumbling upon this one…which more than fits the bill.
Read a few comments under the clip. The "C-word" popped up here and there; but, overwhelmingly reviews were
and

Christians celebrate Epiphany on 6 January: Three Kings Day (aka Día de Los Reyes Magos, l'Epiphanie) with King Cake (Three Kings Cake), La Galette des Rois, Twelfth Night Cake, Roscón de Reyes or Rosca de Reyes.
It originated in 14th-century France, and spread to other Christian countries in Europe. And from Spain to Mexico and other Latin-American countries.

In the US it is also associated with Mardi Gras.
