...National Wine Day!

National Wine Day is an annual feast celebrated on May 25th of every year.

I think it's so great that Penny has her on wine_glass holiday! The best part is (and I quote): "you need not excuse yourself to have a glass of wine or perhaps some glasses of wine."

Enjoy!

Didn't know "Team Howard" has its own national day of celebration. slight_smile Guess, because, NASA has a lot quieter profile now than in days gone by. Pretty sure no one would argue with the thinking that it ain't the "Rock Star" it used to be.

Speaking of profile--not trying to take anything away from Shepard and his place in US history--but kinda surprised TPTB didn't op for the date of the Moon Landing instead.

Today, August 1st, is National Girlfriend Day!

Tomorrow, August 2nd, is National Ex-Girlfriend Day!

Some of you may want to budget your time wisely.

Today, October 24, 2024, is United Nations Day

“ NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim October 24, 2024, as United Nations Day. I urge the governors of the United States and its territories, and the officials of all other areas under the flag of the United States, to observe United Nations Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.”

Of course, it doesn't feel very united at the moment--but it's all we got!

Enjoy Your Day!

Today, February 17, 2025 is Presidents’ Day

“…to honor all persons who served in the office of president of the United States....”

We’ve had some goodums and some badums and some a mix of both.

And, yet…

Even under the worst of them…we've endured!

Have we? It's a bit early to tell if America will withstand this latest assault on democracy!

Yeah! Certain topics can easily become a “posting minefield”.
