So with Game of Thrones tarnished reputation will any of you actually give the prequel a go? It's chance of success looks pretty grim now.
On the one hand, even if it turns out to be awesome, can we ever trust them again? How do we know they won't rush the end again after we get invested for so many years?
But on the other hand the showrunner and writer this time is Jane Goldman who has a far, far greater track record than Benioff and Weiss had before they started on Thrones (Benioff's X-men Origins: Wolverine vs Goldman's X-Men First Class??). She also strikes me as a lot more reliable and caring of her projects. She seems like a passionate fangirl who's been given her dream job in the movies as opposed to greedy businessmen like B & W.

As I don't consider GoT "tarnished", I certainly will give them a go.
Re: Jane Goldman: I was greatly pleased with her revised ending to "Stardust", which was a much better "movie" ending that the more melancholy one of the book - though "her" ending to "Miss Peregrine" was less sure-footed. All that said, she was (is?) attached to the long-in-development "Fables" film and I'd much rather see a good TV adaptation of that than a GoT prequel series.

Yeah, I just noticed she was attached to Fables. That's a great combo. Definitely looking forward to that if it happens even though, like you say, a tv show would work better. I haven't seen Miss Peregrine, doesn't look like my kinda thing but Stardust was fun.

Yeah I'm curious to see what it's all about.
Though I'd much rather one with the current cast even if it's in a different universe.
