Discuss Game of Thrones

Am I missing out? Haven't watched this show...

I'm not into the whole fantasy genre... You know the ring lord movies, hobbit, etc... But I have been hearing that this show is better for years now...

So, now that it is coming to an end, is it worth my time to watch this? Would you reccommend it if you weren't already invested in the series?

Depends on your taste. The only way you'll really know if to give it a shot. If you watch two or three episodes and still don't feel it, it's not for you....

It actually took me a while to get into GoT. But I could see it was quality so I stuck with it.

a lot of TV is made for episodic, non-concentrated watching... so you can have it on while doing something else or being interrupted and still follow the show... also, you can miss an episode or two and not feel completely lost... NCIS is that kind of show

I prefer to use documentaries or youtube talks for that... Or just silence!

You can't judge a show like Breaking Bad, which improves each season, sometimes vastly, in three episodes. You'd be missing out. Seasons 4-5 are the best, and 5 was just voted again by critics as the best season of any show ever. That's a show, unlike most others including GOT, that gets better each season and is all about change.

I see what you're saying, but I'm not going to spend 10-13 hours on a season to give a show a chance... I don't have a TV habit, so I'm not someone who was going to watch anything anyway....
