Discuti The Partridge Family

Considering three cast members are gone now, who knows if the surviving alum want to be part of the vintage circuit. Shirley is pushing 90 now. Considering she has never participated in person, let's say Susan has a change of heart, and wishes to participate. Do you think fans would have a chilly, lukewarm, or pleasant reaction? I could care less, it would be cool to hear what she has been up to. But many fans, understandably will wonder why now?

It would definitely be cool, but I gather she had a rough time during the show... If she wants to put it behind her I get it. She would probably rather be remembered for her dramatic work on LA Law.

Kinda reminds me of John Cusack. We all love him from those awesome 80s teen comedies, but he's matured into some great dramatic roles so I hear he's kinda chilly toward the old stuff when he was a kid.

I recall she did a lot of TV movies post PF. I watched LA Law a few times years ago. I will have to watch a few vintage episodes on Youtube. She did suffer an eating disorder while on PF. I am unaware of any other problems she might have been facing, with the exception on David's indifference to her crush on him. I liked her in the movie "First Love". Does anyone know if she is a grandma now?

Susan Dey (born December 10, 1952) was married to Lenny Hirshan (born December 27, 1927), manager of Clint Eastwood, from 1976-1981. They have a daughter, Sara Dey-Hirshan (born November, 1978). Sara has no children.

Susan remarried in 1988 to film producer Bernard Sofronski (born 1940).

Yup it’s the eating disorder (and trauma of being a child star) that I was thinking of… Didn’t know about her crush on David and his reaction, I’m sure that has something to do with it too. It just kinda sounds like she was going thru a rough time during PF.

I’m glad she found success in her later roles. I haven’t heard of First Love but I’ll look it up. I remember she did a thriller called Looker which I really liked. Really cool story about models being forced to be perfect and mysteriously dying when they’re not.

Wow her crush on her costar has been known for years. They did date briefly after the show ended. Shirley saw Susan as a daughter in real life and warned her that David was a "player". David also dated Meredith Baxter Birney during that time as well. Meredith once played a rich hippie on the PF. Susan came to David's memorial.

In First Love, she played a wealthy college girl who is involved with a married man, and dating a classmate. The classmate was played by the actor who starred in early 80's show Greatest American Hero. She was also good as the emotionally disturbed young mom, who kills her daughter in a TV movie. I saw it as a young person in the 90's. I think the title was" Mary Jane Cried Last Night". Rhea Pearlman played a counselor. The subject matter had to be controversial for the mid or late 70's. I think both movies are still on Youtube.
