The Movie Database Support

When I call the API in my React application using Axios, it works fine and consistently returns a response. However, when I call the same API using Postman or in my .NET application with RestSharp, I sometimes receive a response and other times encounter an SSL issue. I have already attempted to fix the problem, but it still persists, showing the following inner exception:

"Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

What should I do next?

It looks like you're trying to connect via SSL3 (which is TLS 1.0) which has been deprecated for multiple years.
You need to make sure you are trying to connect with TLS 1.1 or higher.
TLS 1.1 is going to be deprecated soon, so you should really make sure you're using TLS 1.2 or 1.3.

Thanks for the update. Just to clarify, I’ve already explicitly set the security protocol in my code to use TLS 1.2 (and 1.3 where applicable): System.Net.ServicePointManager.SecurityProtocol = SecurityProtocolType.Tls12; Despite this, I'm still encountering the same issue. Note: I am using .NET 8. Happy to provide additional details if needed.

Personally, I can't help. I don't understand any of this.
I think it would be better to add something in the title of this conversation to draw the attention of other users who know about these tools.
For example:
TMDB API Failed - using .NET 8
Or something else that draws attention
