Why do movies that are totally correct listed in the movie database suddenly deleted?

Can you give us some examples ?

Werewolf by night in color and Die Hart:Die Harter are 2 actual cases that I know of.

Werewolf by night from 2022 and Werewolf by night in color from 2023 are in theory the same movie. But the have a different title and different release year, so I think it is correct to distinguish between these 2. Btw. the trailer for werewolf by night in color is linked to the werewolf by night (black and white) version here on tvdb (don't know if this was the case before).

Die Hart:Die Harter was first released as a TV series, but later also as a movie so it would be correct to have it listed under movies.

The problem is that multiple software uses tmdb as metadata provider and deleting correct entries for existing movies ruins/breaks the use of this software and media collections of users.

TMDB only list original versions and doesn't support alternate versions.

"Werewolf by night in color" is an alternate version of "Werewolf by night" and shouldn't be listed.

The original version is the TV series. Consequently, only the TV series should be listed.

Movies edited from a TV series can only be listed separately if they got a theatrical release (this was the case for "Die Hart", but not for "Die Hart Die Harter").

TMDB has rules that need to be followed.

Ok, I'll see how I can resolve this on my end then.

But while I totally understand the need for rules to keep things clean and prevent a chaos of countless entries for the same movie (like theatrical cut, extended cut, directors cut and so on) I think there are situations where the rules are in conflict with the idea of such a website/database. Let's take Die Hart again. I'm from germany and there is no german Die Hart tv series, only the movies. This makes Die Hart "non-existant" (I can't find a more fitting word right now) for german users because for german a movie entry would be required but is not allowed, while there is a tv series entry for a series that doesn't exist in germany. I don't know about other countries/languages. But there's an official german version of the website, so I think there should be matching entries.

Maybe there is a way to accomplish that. By aloowing such entries only for the language/country that's affected? Or a "special" category for these cases? Or by having alternate version like these somehow integrated into the original release? Don't get me wrong, I don't want to complain, this is a great website. It's just some thoughts regarding this "issue".
