The Movie Database Support

Sometimes providers decide to vary episode splits for a given show/season. E.g. a season may be broadcasted in 6 episodes or alternatively in 8 episodes which naturally will have different runtimes, titles and so on. How can this be documented in TMDB. Reseaching i found a hint about episode groups, but could not make anything out of that, yet. Could anybody help, please? Best regards

Only the original broadcast should be listed on TMDB. The alternate versions aren't supported.

If the difference is only in the order of the episodes, you can create an episode group for the alternative order. Otherwise, the alternative versions shouldn't be listed on TMDB.

Too sad ... sometimes it would be nice to be able to identify alternative versions, in order to know they exist. However, I see the point, this might get out of control easily
