The Movie Database Support

There is a Finnish TV serie on this site that is missing all the seasons and episodes. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/57510-blondi-tuli-taloon

I wanted to add these to the site but I am now unclear whether this series has 3 or 4 seasons. How is it defined?

IMDb says there are 3 seasons, the Finnish Wikipedia page says there are 4 seasons.

The show used to come on TV normally 2 times a week. Between seasons 1 and 2 there was a 3 month break.

Episode 76 was broadcast before Christmas Eve, on 23 December, and the following episode 77 was broadcast about 2 weeks later, on 11 January.

Wikipedia defines this 2-week break as the start of a new season, IMDb does not. Wikipedia specifies that episode 77 starts season 3 while in IMBD it is still marked as part of season 2.

There is then another break of about 3 months between episodes 118 and 119. IMDB specifies that this is where season 3 begins, Wikipedia says season 4.

Which site's listing do I follow? I couldn't find any mention of the seasons of the show on the internet other than Wikipedia and IMDb.

The listing that should be followed is the listing of the original broadcaster.

You need to search how the original broadcaster has numbered the seasons / episodes.

Okay. As I said, the search engine doesn't really give me any information apart from the two sites I mentioned, Wikipedia and IMDb.

But I actually contacted the customer service of the TV channel that originally aired the series and asked them.

They replied to me that they can't give me the absolute right answer to my question but their advice was that IMDb is the more reliable source at this case because Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, so I will follow IMDb's seasonal structure as advised by the original broadcaster.

IMDB can also be edited by anyone and include many errors for series data.

In case of series that were broadcasted before Internet time, the best source is generally the newspapers and/or TV schedules of the time of the broadcast.

Quite a challenge to find newspapers from 1994 and 1995 for television schedules...

Besides, I can't even seem to add new seasons to that show because "The status for this show is set to "Ended". New seasons cannot be created.”.

In your country, don't you have public libraries with collection of old newspapers ?

You need to read the answer to the 4th question of the FAQ here.
