Crew Member With Common Name Problems

Hey, everyone.
I'm running into a problem with a listing for a film I just put up when it comes to crediting one of the crew members. I had no initial problem making his page, but now I can't seem to find it when I manually search for it to add him into the rest of the roles he took on for the film in question. His name is almost "John Smith" levels of common on here, and when I've tried to pull it up, it just gives me the option to create a new page - even though when I click on his name on the movie listing, he comes up fine.
Is there another way I can get around this issue so the credits aren't left incomplete? I can't seem to do it on his page that way as a work around either, so I'm a bit befuddled as to what I can do here. I'm also not sure if this is just a matter of needing to wait a while and it will come up eventually in the search results. If anyone wants to take a wack at it in case it's just a technical problem on my end, here's his page and I cited his credits in the biography as a brief description. Thanks if anyone has ideas. I have a feeling this will be a problem down the line again eventually and I want to have some sort of game plan in mind should it happen again.

What other roles should he be credited as?

I think the producer role is secured, so I think the director, co-writer, and co-editor roles aren't logged yet. It's kind of weird that I'm still having a bit of trouble when I went back to tweak the page a bit ago.

The search really makes it hard/impossible to add less popular people with ridiculously common name. I was able to add the credits using the TMDB ID (which really should be an option for all contributors but it's not).

Thank you so much! I hope things get adjusted eventually to make using a TMDB ID much easier because this would save so many of us boat loads of trouble. Thank you again for all the help and I apologize for the delayed response. The page looks super solid.
