How come the season number seems unlocked here: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/66769-rupaul-s-drag-race-ruvealed/season/1/edit?language=en-US but locked here https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/66769-rupaul-s-drag-race-ruvealed/edit?active_nav_item=seasons&language=en-US ? (was it locked by a mod?).
(btw im not 100% but I'm thinking that season should have the season number of 2, as there might be a season prior to that called "RuPaul’s Drag Race: The Lost Season Ru-Vealed" https://web.archive.org/web/20170801040744/http://press.logotv.com/press-releases/2014/05/27/gentlemen-re-start-your-engines-and-may-the-best-woman-win-again)
On the page where it seems unlocked you can change the season number, press save, the message box appears "success" , but then the page reloads and the season number has returned back to "1". Why?

Only moderators can change the number of a season. (Until recently, only Travis was able to do it).
If you think that the number of a season need to be changed, please file a content report on the corresponding series page.

Damn I must be losing my marbles. I couldve sworn normal users had the ability (as some point in the last few years) to change the number of a season.... huhhh... am i being gaslit LOL probaly not
edit: regardless its still kind of a glitch the way it looks like youre able to change it then, if you cant? shouldnt that be fixed?

It was possible during a few days or weeks (I don't remember exactly) at the time of the change from Travis to the moderators due to a bug.
You will have to wait for an answer by Travis.
