Hello,
I've been using the TMDB API for a couple of years now to access my TV and Movies watchlist without any issues. However, recently, I've started to receive an error message when trying to execute the following REST API call to create a session_id
:
headers = {
"accept": "application/json",
"content-type": "application/json",
}
validate_login_payload = {
"username": "<USERNAME>",
"password": "<PASSWORD>",
"request_token": "<ACTIVE_REQUEST_TOKEN>",
}
tmdb_validate_login_response = requests.post(
"https://api.themoviedb.org" + "/3/authentication/token/validate_with_login?api_key=<API_KEY>",
params=validate_login_payload,
headers=headers,
)
Here's the error message that I'm currently getting:
{"success":false,"status_code":11,"status_message":"Internal error: Something went wrong, contact TMDb."}
This error message doesn't provide a lot of information regarding the cause of the issue unfortunately. I tried different methods to generate the session_id
token, but I always get this error.
I'm still trying to identify the cause of this issue, but in the meantime, I would like to know if there was any recent changes made to the TMDB API (the changelog shows that the last update was a year ago, but I wanted to double check)?
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks!

Hello,
To provide an update, the issue seems to be resolved now after some recent testing, I didn't make any changes on my end.
Thanks!
