Hi Travis,
Wondered whether we could add the following jobs :
Carpenter
Casting Associate
Hair Department Head
Thx
Mod edit:
You can request missing crew jobs in this topic. The new crew jobs have to be English and free of spelling mistakes. Please specify in which of the following departments each new job should be created: Directing, Writing, Editing, Camera, Production, Art, Costume & Make-Up, Visual Effects, Sound, Lighting, or Crew.
Kindly try to avoid making duplicates job requests (search the last few pages), or requesting crew jobs that are already added to TMDb.

And what about: Hair & Make-up. Usually they're credited seperately because different people, but for shorts and smaller productions, sometimes it's the same person as make-up artist and hairstylist, and the credit is... "merged". First time I encountered that I just submitted two crew jobs: Hair stylist and Make-up Artist, but I think it'd be a good addition :)
JOB: Hair & Make-up
CATEGORY: Custome & Make-Up
Also would like something like voices for shorts where there may be people appearing, but they don't talk and there are voices you know, like a hallucination, tricks of the mind. And also Narration or Narrator, for when there's a narrator.
JOB: Voices CATEGORY: Crew?
JOB: Narration / Narrator
CATEGORY: Crew?

There are tons of cases where a person has more than one job. The same person could be credited with Story, Screenplay, and Director. A second common one is that a Steadicam operator can also be a regular camera operator on a set. A third example is that a Sound designer is often also credited with being a Supervising Sound Editor. With that said, I still think a Hair & Make-up credit could be useful, but I can also see the other point of view where it's suddenly unclear for users how to add a certain credit.
Voices and narration credits should always be put in the Cast since those are acts performed by actors.

I would like
PRODUCTION: Assistant Production Manager
WRITING: Story Editor and/or WRITING: Script Editor. They're kinda overlapping a bit, but a Story Editor helps with the script before it gets script stage and a Script Editor helps with it after.

This is not an addition to the list of jobs, but I did notice that there are three different Unit Production Manager jobs - two listed under crew, one listed under production.

Yeah, the Crew ones should be deleted. There are also a bunch of jobs added to Crew that belong to other job categories. I'll try to compile a list of those soon.

Adn what about those German ones listed in between?
Comic Zeichner and Redaktion, are some of them.

My suggestions:
A lot of those are more often used in Japanese animation and would be misleading if they're masked behind the animator titles and all. Someone doing inbetween animation is doing less in shaping the show to how it actually looks than a key animator. Some video examples https://youtu.be/LLNHSrJoqFM?t=2m44s
Example of how credits can look (scroll down):
As you can see there actually would be even more but it's hard to adapt them into the existing landscape.

In Dutch, lots of television shows and some movies have people credited as "Eindredactie", I think a proper English term would be "Editor-in-Chief" or "Chief Editor", could that one be added?
Also, Story Editor. Or does the job "Story" suffice for that credit? Department would be Writing, for both.
