Hi! I would like to add Spain:

These are the symbols of the Spanish rating system for television programs:

TP (Todos los públicos). Recommended for all ages.

i (Recomendado especialmente para la infancia). Specially recommended for preschoolers and kids.

7 or +7 : Recommended for people older than 7 years old.

7i or +7i : Recommended for kids older than 7 years old.

12 or +12 : Recommended for people older than 12 years old.

16 or +16 : Recommended for people older than 16 years old.

18 or +18 : Recommended for people older than 18 years old.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_content_rating_systems#Spain

Rating symbols are shown all the programme or when it begins (also after broadcasting adverts), depending on the rating and the hour (12 and over are always shown, and TP is never shown). Years ago, all ratings were shown only al the beginning. On '+18' rated programs, a brief warning tone can also be heard. '18' or '+18' rated programs are not allowed to be shown on free to air television before 10.00 p.m. and after 6.00 a.m.

Please add the dutch "kijkwijzer"

The television rating system in the Netherlands was created in 2001 by the Dutch Institute for the Classification of Audiovisual Media (NICAM) and is known as Kijkwijzer (ViewingGuide or WatchWiser). The same rating systems are used for both television programs and films, and serve partly as guidelines (Programmes with the classification 12 years may only be broadcast from 8pm and with the classification 16 years from 10pm. Cinemas and theaters in the country cannot provide films with the classification 16 years to people under the age of 16). Animated versions of the icons used are also utilized in visual mediums. They are the same as Dutch film ratings. The system is also used for DVDs in Belgium and selectively used on television broadcasts in Flanders.

The following icons are in use for age rating:

Dutch rating AL = Not harmful / All Ages (Alle leeftijden)
Dutch rating 6 = Take care with children under 6 (Let op met kinderen tot 6 jaar)
Dutch rating 9 = Take care with children under 9 (Let op met kinderen tot 9 jaar)
Dutch rating 12 = Take care with children under 12 (Let op met kinderen tot 12 jaar)
Dutch rating 16 = Take care with children under 16 (Let op met kinderen tot 16 jaar)
Dutch rating 18 = Contains adult content (Bevat inhoud voor volwassenen)

I would like to see as predefined choices all Bulgarian categories according to the Film Industry Act of 2003 (administered by the National Film Rating Committee) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_picture_rating_system#Bulgaria

A - Recommended for children
B - Without age restrictions
C - Not recommended for children under 12
D - Prohibited for persons under 16
X - Prohibited for persons under 18

Hi, any chance to have Finnish movie and tv content rating system also included?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_picture_rating_system#Finland

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_Board_of_Film_Classification

The Finnish Board of Film Classification had a film classification system under which films were classified into one of the following categories:

S – For all ages
K-7 – For people 7 years or older. Under 7s require parental guidance for admittance into the film.
K-12 – For people 12 years or older. Under 12s require parental guidance for admittance into the film.
K-16 – For people 16 years or older. Under 16s require parental guidance for admittance into the film.
K-18 – Only for adults over 18. Minors are not admitted.

Thanks!

I guess you're back from vacation by now. :) But, is it possible to get certifications for tv series? I'm looking everywhere but can't seem to find it.

@MarcoTC The /content_ratings is the method you are looking for.

Uff.. I was somehow fixed on the word 'certifications'. Thanks! Found it. :)

English Wikipedia page is outdated for Slovakia :( I guess you want some link to see if its correct so czech translated wiki one is up-to-date https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Věková_přístupnost_v_televizi

Please add this correct Slovakia order (translated from wiki for you) to list:

  • U - Content suitable for everyone
  • 7 – Content suitable for teens over 7 years
  • 12 – Content suitable for teens over 12 years
  • 15 - Content suitable for teens over 15 years
  • 18 – Content exclusively for adults

Hi Travis

Happy New Year

Please add for Malaysia as well, planning to add couple of Malaysian movies.

  1. U (Malay: umum) – general viewing for all ages, can be broadcast anytime.
  2. P13 - for viewers ages 13 and above, children under 13 needs parental guidance, can be broadcast anytime, but some elements may only be broadcast at night.
  3. 18 – for viewers ages 18 and above only, cannot be broadcast before 10:00 PM.

Travis, I know I and others requested it before, and you had implemented the Dutch "kijkwijzer" ratings for movies, but you forgot about the television section. We have quite a lot of great shows! (And our southern neighbours, Belgium, they use our icons on DVD releases too because most content is sold in Belgium and the Netherlands!)

http://www.kijkwijzer.nl/about-kijkwijzer Here more about it.

The age ratings are: AL / 6 / 9 / 12 / 16

Background information (in English) about how ratings are decided: http://www.kijkwijzer.nl/classification/page146.html

Portugal Age Ratings: ** T / 10AP / 12AP / 16 / 18**

I've just added:

  • Slovakia (TV)
  • Malaysia (Movie)
  • Netherlands (TV)
  • Portugal (TV)

Thanks @travisbell In Portugal only 18 is missing, but thanks for the work, excellent!

Ya, Wikipedia doesn't have it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_content_rating_systems#Portugal

And my limited Google searching came up empty. Is it an official rating?

explanation

I hope I can help because on television there is one form and the other cinema. In wikipedia is only the television and is with error because it appears AP 10 and is 10AP more down can check with the pictures, but Travis eventually entered correct ;)

I'm sorry my english
