Hey guys,
At this time, we only support a specific list of countries for TV certifications. They are as follows:
If you would like to see a missing country added, let me know below. I've been using this guide on Wikipedia as a reference.

Hi @travisbell .
Any chance to have Danish content rating added? I have updated the Wikipedia page to also describe Danish content rating. In Denmark we don't have a particular rating system for TV broadcast, but shows published on DVD/Blu-ray fall under the same rating as movies.
Cheers, Nikolaj

Apparently the moderators of the Wikipedia page doesn't like my additions about the Danish content rating system, but I hope that we could still add it to The Movie DB. The film classification system and criteria are defined and governed by the Media Council [1]. Even though the content rating is meant for films, all media sold with both film and TV shows follow the same rating. Four categories are defined:

It seems like your wiki edit was reverted because "These are film classifications. Source does not mention television at all." Check your user page. And I agree, it doesn't mention TV... It's movie and DVD content only.
"The classification board is an organ comprised of child and media professionals and the primary task is classifying films, DVDs and trailers." But maybe because they rate DVDs, and TV series are eventually released on DVD in lots of countries, it can be OK for on here?
But well, that's why it was deleted. :)

Hi,
Could you also add the Spanish ratings?
These are the official ones:
https://www.mecd.gob.es/cultura-mecd/areas-cultura/cine/informacion-servicios/in/procedimientos-administrativos/explotacion-no-cinematografica.html
Clasificación por grupos de edad:
And this is the law that states the ICAA is the one in charge to provide any audiovisual content rating: https://www.boe.es/buscar/act.php?id=BOE-A-2007-22439 (Artículo 8)
Thanks!

I also just wanted to ask about the Spanish TV ratings, see here, the stuff above is for movies. But it is pretty much the same... but still.. ICAA rates movies, CNMC rates tv. as explained in this paper
I don't know what the "shortcuts" for them are, as they aren't mentioned in the file. But they translate as;
Wikipedia says the following;
13 was indeed used up until 2011 or something, when it got exchanged for 12 and 16. As you can see there. I don't know about the 10. I can't find a source about that right away. But I guess it could be true. Maybe the CNMC rates only for the Spanish Spanish, yaknow.

As far as I know the CNMC is not entitled to provide the TV ratings. The whole propose of that entity is to enforce the free competence in the audiovisual market, so what they did is to check the ratings inside the auto regulation code were "correct" and followed the law.
As it is written in the document you attached from the CNMC, page 6, it is the article 2 of the law "Real Decreto 410/2002" where you can find the official ratings for the whole country. see here.
Additionally, the government also allowed the possibility for each "Comunidad Autónoma" to establish different ratings, that's where the '10' comes from. But that's not limited to Catalonia, other "Comunidades" might also have additional rating steps.
Apart from that, the main Tv groups also agreed in the symbols to be used with each rating, see the agreement here
In practice, you might find a particular content to be rated twice, once by the ICAA or the auto regulation group, and another one by the "Comunidad Autónoma". Since this makes no sense at all, only the contents emitted in regional Tvs, like TV3 in Catalonia, are rated differently while the rest follows what it is defined by the auto regulation group.
The symbols used are:
Although I also found the rate "X content" I have to say I haven't seen anything special for that rating. The +18 is displayed in the channel but there's no additional symbols defined for the Tvs as far as I know.

If you could add ratings for the Netherlands it would help me. I relocated a team there because we now produce and provide contents for Pay-TV/cable TV and many of them are headquartered in this country for a better distribution over Europe.

There are already ratings for the Netherlands.
NOTE: list in first post is very not complete, firstpost hasn't been updated, haha! Better check before asking if ratings are available for either movies and/or TV. For the Netherlands, they are both added.
