help with media.getinfo method and 'DVD ID'

please could someone give me an example of a successful call to this, using a 'DVD ID' style CRC. I am able to generate these on my platform for a DVD but they appear as 2 values separated by a '|' character (e.g. 36789b11|baaa1494). The only reference i can find in the API documentation to this is for v2.1 (http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1/methods/Media.getInfo and http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1/ids-hashes) but there is no example code for using a 'DVD ID'. I also can find no reference at all in the v3 API documentation.
