I think I've seen more of the music videos he has directed than his movies. I've seen Panic Room, Gone Girl & his remake of Dragon Tattoo, didn't really care for any of them.

Those three are really not the best films to see for getting a feel for Fincher and experiencing why he's so well regarded. I've seen bits & pieces of Seven (had no interest in seeing the rest), the rest you mentioned, there are specific reasons for not watching each one.

The original trilogy is so much better. I gave the original an 8/10 and Fincher's version a 5/10. I gave The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009) an 8/10 & The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) a 7/10.

I don't think it's bad. The first half is actually pretty damn good. But when the action starts in the second half I found the editing really bad and struggled to follow what was going on. It may be on the bottom for me but I don't think Fincher has made a bad film.

Back in the day when MTV actually played music videos. As for, VH1, there were a few good things about it, but it has been years since I've watched either.

Actually, he is. However, this site isn't "official", it's user-edited, so anyone could have credited him, beyond the intent of the producers. In fact, the producers included John C. McGinley on their poster, (you'll have to zoom in, but it's there, right after Gwyneth Paltrow). Now, I love McGinley, but he had about as minor a part as any headliner ever had, it seems clear they were intent on keeping Spacey's presence in the film a secret.
