Perhaps you can get exempt if the whole crew are US citizens. Often, you have to hire a certain % of local ppl to get tax cuts.

Sounds good to me. Local ppl won’t work on the set, but the local community will still benefit. Hotels to accommodate everybody. And ppl will eat at restaurants, shop in stores, go to clubs. So it’s a win for the US and the host country. In the current system only the host country wins?
