Henry Cavill is set to take on the role of the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes in Legendary Entertainment’s film adaptation of Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series.

Launching in 2006, the book series, which spans six novels, revolves around mysteries investigated by Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister Enola, who proves to be a highly capable detective in her own right.

Henry Cavill is set to take on the iconic role of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes in Legendary’s “Enola Holmes,” starring Millie Bobby Brown.

"Enola Holmes” is based on the Nancy Springer book series “The Enola Holmes Mysteries,” which follows Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola.

Production on “Enola Holmes” is expected to start this summer.

Cavill will play Sherlock Holmes opposite Brown's Enola Holmes. Bonham Carter will play Enola's mother, according to sources.

Jack Thorne wrote the script for the story, which involves a missing teen whose father has been murdered.

Legendary is producing with Brown and her sister, Paige Brown, via the duo's PCMA Productions shingle. Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes will oversee the project for Legendary.

They didn’t really change RDJ. He just got ripped for his shirtless fight. I think HC should look like CK with a Theseus body in a period suit.

Storyline

When their mother mysteriously disappears on Enola’s 16th birthday, she seeks help from her older brothers. However, she takes matters into her own hands and runs away to London to find their mother.
