This great actor, best known for his role as Mr. Spock in the Star Trek Series (1966-1969).
Today would have been his 86th birthday.

R.I.P Leonard.
I watched In Search of Spock on Netflix. It was excellent.

Quite possibly the only actor I've ever gotten choked up upon hearing about their death. His face was a significant part of my youth, but not necessarily for Star Trek. Still sucks that he died and Sh1tner lived.

I wanted to be as cool and clever as he was, as Spock. His quizzical eyebrow, his one-liners . Then I discovered Nimoy, the man and the poet. Miss him.

The day before he died, Nimoy tweeted: 'A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP'.
He knew he was boldly going and left those very sweet and touching final words to his many fans. A true gent and star.

For Maureen Mobbs--
[picture Nimoy, quizzical eyebrow raised]:
"Really, Doctor, you must learn to govern your passions. They WILL be your undoing."
One of my favorite lines from Star Trek II:)
