Outside of the Smith family, there are three additional main characters, including Hayley's boyfriend turned husband, Jeff Fischer; the family's man-in-a-goldfish-body pet, Klaus; and most notably the family's zany alien, Roger, who is "full of masquerades, brazenness, and shocking antics."

The Catlins is an American prime-time soap opera on Superstation TBS that ran from April 1, 1983 to May 31, 1985. Created by Chris McIntyre, it focuses on the lives of two wealthy and feuding families; the Catlin family and the Quinn family. The show is set in Atlanta, Georgia.

Catlin family matriarch, Catherine was widowed. Her son T.J., the head of Catlin Industries, a diversified corporation based out of Atlanta and his wife, Annabelle, had five children: sons Matthew, Jonathan and Beau and daughters Jennifer and Maggie. The Quinns were a somewhat evil banking family. Creepy Medgar Quinn had two sons, Seth and Cullen, who were just as bad as their father, and a less evil daughter Eleanor, who was married into the Catlin family, which only served to inflame the rivalry between the families. Her murder only served to cause more trouble between the two families.

The show ended in 1985, after 555 episodes. One of the show's more famous alumni was Lisby Larson who went on to play Calla Matthews on Guiding Light not long after The Catlins ended its run in 1985. Actress Dana Ivey is the daughter of the show's star, Mary Nell Santacroce.

The show revolved around a multi-generational family living under one roof in Atlanta led by patriarch Curtis Payne and his wife Ella.

WCW Saturday Night was a weekly Saturday night TV show on TBS produced by World Championship Wrestling. The program existed through various incarnations under different names before becoming WCW Saturday Night in 1992. Lopez Tonight is an American late-night television talk show that was hosted by comedian George Lopez. The hour-long program premiered on November 9, 2009, on cable network TBS. The program aired Monday through Thursday at midnight Eastern and Pacific, immediately following Conan. On August 10, 2011, TBS announced Lopez Tonight would be cancelled. The New Leave It to Beaver is an American sitcom sequel to the 1950s and '60s series, Leave It to Beaver. The New Leave It to Beaver began with the 1983 CBS TV movie Still the Beaver, and was picked up in 1984 as a Disney Channel series with the same name; however, it only lasted one season. It was then picked up by TBS in 1986 and renamed The New Leave It to Beaver. The series, also syndicated in the late 1980s, lasted until June 1989.
